“Moving Melksham” Melksham Community Campus Mural. 2023.

Commissioned by Wiltshire Council to design a site specific mural for the Melksham Community Campus - a brand new leisure and sports centre. Following a period of research in to the history and context of the campus site, I was inspired by the rich history, local nature and movement and wellbeing. To create the artwork, I held creative workshops at the campus, aiming to inspire local people and allow the opportunity for input on the mural design. I developed a visual language inspired by the artwork made during the workshops. Strong imagery from the workshops included relevant features such as tyres, river, pond, nature, movement, learning, community. The final design for the mural encompassed these elements in a vibrant and dynamic composition that was applied to the wall with vinyl.
