COMMUNITIES.
I believe in the great possibilities of collaborating with organisations that contextualise art to its environment and offer opportunities for participation that spark an interest in creativity. Particularly in the places and with the people that need it most.
I am lucky to have had many opportunities to make artwork in all kinds of public spaces, co-creating with people all over the world to help improve environments and contribute to wellbeing.
Encouraging people to develop their creativity and unfold the potential of taking a visual approach to life, moves my practice forward.
Community Engagement is an important part of my projects. Not only do I know that it allows a process that shows respect and gives belief to the people that use these spaces day to day, it makes me feel successful and proud of the things that can be achieved when you talk and listen to people. - Billy 2020
