Jesse Gray Primary School, West Bridgford Nottingham 2021

Following the success of the Wild World and Walls project, it couldn’t have been more fitting for the people at Jesse Gray to invite me along to paint a real wall in their playground!

It was such pleasure to visit the school, meet the wonderful teachers and children in real life, and paint an artwork that everyone was so happy to see!

I painted an animal line up including a mix of ones from the project that many of the children were familiar with. For the ones that weren't, I loved seeing them try to guess, chatting about them with their friends.

The old wall primed with a white base emulsion.

Thanks for having me!

I can’t say enough good things about my days at Jesse Gray, the welcome, enthusiasm, trust and general positive vibes is what makes me feel most alive and I thank you for the opportunity to paint at your school!

Thanks to Ali Johnston for the photos (the shots with the children in them)
